I am Dana. I spent eleven years doing operations inside other people's companies, mostly the awkward middle size where there is too much work for paper and not enough budget for a system. Now I do it as short engagements, usually two to six weeks.
Why the write-ups
About half of what I get asked is the same three problems. Writing them down properly once means I can point at them, and the people who can do it themselves go and do it themselves. That is a fine outcome.
What I do not do
- Build custom software. I will tell you if you need it, then help you hire somebody.
- Resell anybody's product. There are no affiliate links here.
- Long retainers. If I am still needed after two months I have done it wrong.
